It's Easy to Wiki!

1) Request to be registered as a contributor to PA-CEAP.org: http://pa-ceap.pbwiki.com/contact.php.

(It may take a day or two for us to respond, but we try our best!)

2) Set up a user name and password with PBwiki: https://my.pbwiki.com/?p=create .

While waiting for CEAP to get you registered as a user, you may want to create a wiki of your own to practice with and then perhaps to use for any number of purposes.  Go to https://secure.pbwiki.com/signup.wiki and choose a name for your wiki, maybe {your name}.pbwiki.com.   Hit the "create" button and start your wiki.   Your free wiki won't have enough storage space to hold many photos or files, but it is great for recipes, to-do lists, essays and so on.  But mainly, it's a care-free way to learn how to wiki before you get on with the important thing:  contributing to PAcool.

Commenting on an existing page

Many times you may want to make a comment on information presented on a PA-CEAP wiki page, without actually changing the page itself.  To do so, look for the "comments" section at the bottom of the page you are reading (this appears AFTER you have been registered as a contributor on PA-CEAP).  Type in your comment, click "add comment" and then click on the page link above the add comment area or click the "back" button on your browser.   That's it.   Comments provide a way to have a rich "background" discussion, without cluttering up the original page.  On the other hand, many readers may not check the comments, so if you want everyone to see what you are adding, you should add it to the wiki page or create a link to a new page.

Creating, editing, and linking

The PBwiki platform has a very easy to use "word processor" type of interface for editing pages.  Click here for instructions

Note: This "point and click" editor does not work with the current version of Safari, Apple's browser.  If you are using a Mac, you can download the Firefox browser, or you can use pbwiki's "classic" editor
